                                                Our History

The East Cobb Baseball Complex is owned and operated by ECB, Inc., a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation.

The East Cobb Baseball program is recognized nationally as one of the premier youth baseball operations in the country. Under the direction of Guerry Baldwin for over thirty five years, it has consistently delivered on its Mission Statement:

To teach the integrity of the game of baseball and to help players understand the greatness of the game while learning the life lessons associated with baseball. To guide and enhance the process of advancing to the college or professional level. To provide the best learning atmosphere, the best competition, and the most fun the game of baseball has to offer to its participants.

ECB welcomes players, parents and coaches who are committed to improving their skills, playing competitively and supporting the ECB Mission as well as adhering to all rules and guidelines. It is a program for players to dramatically improve their skills through instruction and by playing against highly competitive teams throughout the country. All East Cobb teams are Travel Teams that cover quite a wide geographic area.

Now in its 21st year of operation, ECB, Inc. is managed within strict budgetary guidelines to financially break even each year. The facilities are maintained to high standards and are continually improved. ECB’s revenue comes from contributions, sponsors, the annual fee for each registered player, tournament fees, the tryout clinic, and other fundraising events.

ECB, Inc. is very particular about selecting coaches who are committed to the players and who have demonstrated baseball experience and knowledge. These people devote countless hours each year to benefit the young players.

Each team operates independently and is responsible for its own budget. ECB, Inc. offers each travel team the opportunity to raise money by selling web page sponsorships.

The combination of parents, players, coaches, volunteers and Guerry Baldwin’s leadership has produced an exceptional program. Years of experience and a commitment to high standards of excellence have helped East Cobb Baseball continue to grow and provide baseball opportunities for many young people.
